Blood and a little bit of guts
Or diabetics.
Or ‘paper cuts that go horribly wrong’.
Those are just some of the answers I got last week when I showed Cornwallis Junior High students the cover of B Negative and asked them to guess what it was about.
I didn’t tell them the real answer and I’m not going to tell you either. (You’ll have to read it to find out.) I will tell you, though, that it’s a brand-new Orca YA Quick Read with a twist and it’s based on something that really did happen. In fact, if you believe the statistics, happens all the time.
Intrigued? Then check out an excerpt here.
“This fast-paced story—an entry in the Orca Soundings series for reluctant readers—takes us on a roller-coaster ride of a mixed-up family as Paddy processes new information and deals with new relationships. The crux of the story is a fascinating paternity case.”
