Hot off the press – or at least still warm.

The founders of Fashion East

I’ve been writing a column for The Chronicle Herald for a few months now and realized I’ve never posted any to my site.

Time I did something about that.

So here are a few of my favourite “Creative Catalysts”. It’s people like this who make Halifax such an interesting place to live.

Vanessa Lindsay-Botten thinks “You Gotta Sing”.

Truth is funnier than fiction at “Blowhard Presents”.

Julia Feltham needed a grant to buy toilet paper.

Sebastian Blagdon is a piece of art.

Mimi Fautley helps traumatized knitters.

Fashion East is not an oxymoron.

About vickigrant

I am an author of many Young Adult novels including Betsy Wickwire's Dirty Secret, Pigboy, Quid pro Quo, Dead-End Job and 2011 Red Maple Winner, Not Suitable for Family Viewing. Most of my books are funny and/or scary mysteries. I also write high-low quick reads for reluctant readers. Quid pro Quo won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Juvenile Crime novel and was also nominated for the Edgar Allan Poe Award. Betsy Wickwire is up for a 2012 Snow Willow Award. Keep your fingers crossed for her!
