Awake and Smiling

Vicki Grant Agnes McPhail School OLA superconferenceI’m posting this photo for two reasons:

1) To say thanks to the young ladies from Agnes McPhail Public School for interviewing me about Not Suitable for Family Viewing.

2) And to prove that I was alert throughout the Ontario Library SuperConference even if every other photo taken of me there makes it look like I’d just nodded off.

Betsy Wickwire Cracked the Top 17!

I don’t know why that number was chosen but I’m delighted, nonetheless, that Betsy Wickwire’s Dirty Secret has made Canadian Parents “17 Books to Give this Holiday Season.

BTW, if you’d like a copy of Betsy Wickwire (or Not Suitable for Family Viewing) signed personally by their grateful author, please meet me at Chapters Bayers Lake, Sunday November 26 from noon to 1:30. The company will be much appreciated.

Gotta love HarperCollins

Not Suitable for Family Viewing, Vicki GrantA full-page colour ad featuring…me. It must have come as a terrible shock to most people just sitting down to read their Saturday morning paper – but I certainly appreciated it.

Thanks Leo, Liza, Melissa and everyone else at HarperCollins who made it happen. (And thanks, too, to my nephew George Grant for taking the photo.)
